The calm blue sky with the scorching sun exhibits the very constitution of the ātman. Though they appear to be in the same place, they are unattached and unaffected by each other's presence. Sky emanates the calm, the peace like blue ocean while the sun emanates scorching heat at its peak in the afternoon.
The scorching heat couldn't cause any harm to the calm of the sky like our ātman -- always unattached, unaffected by material melancholics, adversities, and pains despite living in it.
